Can celebrities take over politics? Ever since Donald Trump was elected as the President of the United States, millions of Americans are wondering if they, too, can become the most powerful political figure in the world. Celebrities have also jumped into the bandwagon and are setting out to try their hand in politics.

Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren said, “Well, maybe this is all a joke. But we all thought Donald Trump was joking when he rode down the escalator at Trump Tower and announced his campaign, too”.

Some of the celebs keen to run for the presidential election include rapper Kanye West, and actor Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson. Here’s a look at the list of celebs who dream to be the POTUS. The rapper, in MTV’s Video Music Awards, last year, said that he would run for the president’s post in the 2020 elections. “Rappers are philosophers of our now; celebrities are influencers of our now; just look at the president. Trump wasn’t in politics and won,” he said. But, after speaking with the prez, he has decided not to run against him and has his sights set on the 2024 elections. Joining the ranks of celebs who jumped into politics, this week, reality star Caitlyn Jenner also showed interest in running for a position in office. In a video message to Trump’s administration, where she called out to the president for not keeping his promises to support the LQBTQ community, Jenner said, "From one Republican to another, this is a disaster." She added that she will decide later if she is going to run for office.
