Actor Ajay Devgn (above) has quashed rumours that he and his Baadshaho team, walked out of The Kapil Sharma Show in a huff. Ajay, who was meant to promote his film on the show, calls these reports “highly exaggerated”. He says that he is not sure why Kapil cancelled the shoot and he will definitely ask him about this when they meet next. “Shows have been cancelled many times. I really don’t know what happened exactly. But reports said that we left the sets in anger. We did not leave in anger,” says Ajay. “We left as he had not reached the sets till then. When I’ll talk to him next, we’ll get to know what was wrong. He is a friend of mine. Kapil must have obviously had some problem,” adds Ajay.

Before this, reports that Shah Rukh Khan had walked out of the comedy show, were doing the rounds. Ajay dismisses this as well. “Nobody has boycotted going to his (Kapil’s) show. Shah Rukh has not issued any statement. There is nothing like that. We are all colleagues, and meet in good faith,” says Ajay.

Other than Ajay and Shah Rukh leaving the show’s sets without shooting, Anil Kapoor, and Arjun Rampal have also left without canning their episodes.

One plausible explanation for Kapil’s absence is his ill-health. The comedian has been reported to have made several hospital visits, due to low blood pressure.

Actor Sana Khan (left), who has acted in films such as Jai Ho (2014), Wajah Tum Ho (2016) and the recently released Toilet: Ek Prem Katha, says that there was a time when her career went through a low phase. However, this didn’t deter her. “After Jai Ho, the following year was a complete lull. I didn’t know what was happening or what to do because things were just not moving,” says Sana.“I had signed Tom Dick and Harry Returns but that wasn’t going on the floors and got delayed for a year. So, I started asking for work. Then Wajah Tum Ho came my way and I regained confidence.” Sana is clear that she won’t sign anything and everything that comes her way. “I should at least get the conviction that it’s the right concept and people would enjoy watching it,” she says. However, Sana adds, “It’s not a conscious decision that I will do one film a year because I haven’t reached that stage that I can choose films,” she says. The actor adds unless she is actively working, she won’t get more offers, so she never felt ashamed of asking for work.“You have to be seen by filmmakers to get more work. But you need work in hand to get there. You can’t get better while sitting at home and doing nothing,” she says.
