Actor Saif Ali Khan’s next is inspired by American actor Jon Favreau’s 2014 film, Chef. The makers have made necessary changes to add an Indian touch to the story. The trailer of the film showcases love between family, specially between father and son. Asked about his youngest son Taimur, with actor Kareena Kapoor Khan, and how he strikes a balance between his busy work life and family life, Saif — who has a son (Ibrahim) and daughter (Sara) from his former wife, actor Amrita Singh — says, “The film is also about giving time to important things in life. While working, I would like to do 7 to 7 shifts if I can.”

He adds, “That would be good, so that I can see him (Taimur) early in the morning and when I come home, I get to spend decent amount of time with Taimur. If we shoot 9-9 or if we have the wrong shifts, then sometimes we don’t get to see our kids at all.”

Saif informs, earlier, actors didn’t get to see their families for a long time as filmmakers in those day used to shoot in many shifts. “So, I think, we are all the more conscious about it, and balance things. I am still lucky I have some help at home. Kareena and I try and balance it as much as we can, so one of us is always around,” he explains.

“But I guess some people can’t do that and I feel bad for them. You have to support your children and you have to work [as well]. But this balance is what is the most important thing in life [for an actor],” Saif signs off.
