Ayushmann and Bhumi in celebratory mood
Ahumorous narrative with an adult subject, realistic performances by the cast, witty one-liners and apt music has made director R Prasanna’s Bollywood debut film, Shubh Mangal Saavdhan, a resounding success at the box-office.
Ayushmann Khurrana, the lead actor of the film, is ecstatic with the response. “It wasn’t easy bringing forth the problem of a sexual disorder in a humorous manner. But looking at the favourable response, especially from families, I’m glad all my efforts paid off,” he says.
His co-star Bhumi Pednekar adds, “I’m overwhelmed by the response. I always had faith in the script, and in my director and writer. Watching your good instinct and hard work turn into a great film is a beautiful feeling. I want to thank our audiences for loving our characters, Mudit and Sugandha, this much”
