A filmy tribute to teachers
Teacher’s hold a special significance in the lives of students. To honour the efforts of teachers, students of Delhi Pharmaceutical Science and Research University recently organised an event of music and dance performances. On Teachers’ Day, the campus was abuzz with students who paid tribute to their teachers.
The celebrations in the college premises commenced with Saraswati Vandana followed by the lamp lighting ceremony by RK Goyal — the vice chancellor of the university. The VC shared a few words of encouragement, before the programme began.
To entertain the audience, Raag — the music society of the university — performed on a medley titled, Journey of Bollywood. This medley included a combination of hit songs from the 1950’s to the recent chartbusters.
Adwitya, the dance society, also performed a piece, which was based on actor Madhuri Dixit Nene’s dance numbers from a number of Hindi films.
Along with this, the dramatics society, Fitoor, presented a skit that narrated a story on the beautiful relationship between students and teachers.
The gala also had fun-filled activities that were organised by students for their teachers. This included a ramp walk and even pictionary.
Now, that was one fun way to celebrate Teachers’ Day!
