Wanted to work with Elton John since I was 10: Colin Firth
As fans prepare for the release of Kingsman: The Golden Circle, cast members Taron Egerton, Colin Firth and Mark Strong tell us why the film promises to be a fun watch.
Firth, who plays British spy Harry Hart, says, “The action in the film is quite fun. So, even if you are not an action fan, the kind of action you will see in the film will blow your mind. And oh, for me working with Elton John has been the best part. It was like this is what I wanted to do since I was 10.”
Taron Egerton, playing agent Eggsy, says, “This one takes the film a notch up. This film has everything that you want to see in an entertaining film — drama, comedy and lots of action.”
Mark Strong, returning as Merlin, says, “Matthew (Vaughn, the director) found (something different from the first film) with the emotional engagement of the characters. I also think that the opening sequence is fantastic, so no one should miss it. The use of the slow motion and the taxis, it really fires you into the film.”
Apart from Taron Egerton, Colin Firth, and Mark Strong, Kingsman: The Golden Circle has a star cast including Halle Berry, Julianne More, Channing Tatum, and Pedro Pascal (of Narcos fame). Releases today.
