From experiencing heights of stardom to going through a lean phase on television and making a great impression with his debut film Aamir (2008), actor Rajeev Khandelwal’s career has been a roller coaster ride. However, with his last few films not scoring well at the box office, he knows that people are wondering aloud about him not making mark.

“The world tells me that my salability and [how the] market will be affected with every wrong project I do but they were my choices and for someone who has always lived his career in a certain way it doesn’t stress me,” he says.

The actor, who was last seen on the silver screen in Fever (2016), which failed to leave a mark on the box office, adds, “I am still in the initial stages of my career. This is not a race that if you trip , you will fall and lose. If you have it in you then you can’t lose.”

The actor, whose debut on television with Kahiin Toh Hoga, made him a heartthrob overnight, believes that success and failure happen to everyone.

Talking about the reaction he gives to those who badmouth his choices, the actor says, “I have read articles where people have said that I was a onetime star. I am not working for you, my life is not dictated by you. These are all fleeting things. I think those who sit and talk, don’t focus on their lives. There will always be a fall and there will be good and bad projects but you cannot write off talent.”
