At the re­cently con­cluded HT GIFA sea­son four, Volk­swa­gen pre­sented the Golden Boot Tro­phy to the young foot­ball cham­pi­ons

HT GIFA that kick-started in 2013 to pro­mote foot­ball has taken over the city’s foot­ball scene.

The foot­ball tour­na­ment, which saw 2500 teams from the city par­tic­i­pat­ing, came to a close with a lav­ish cer­e­mony at the CWG Vil­lage Sports Com­plex, where R. Sar­a­vana Kumar of Volk­swa­gen In­dia, the driven by Part­ner of HT GIFA pre­sented the Volk­swa­gen Golden Boot Tro­phy to Shra­van Chowdhry (Palms FC) and Rishab Do­brial (Young Gun­ners), who scored a to­tal of nine goals each through­out the matches.

Speak­ing about the as­so­ci­a­tion, Ka­mal Basu, head, mar­ket­ing and PR, Volk­swa­gen Pas­sen­ger Cars said, “We are proud and de­lighted to be as­so­ci­ated with GIFA, an in­ter-so­ci­ety foot­ball face-off com­pe­ti­tion that pro­motes the spirit and cul­ture of sports amongst young tal­ent in In­dia. Our sup­port for this event re­flects our be­lief in nur­tur­ing bud­ding tal­ent and giv­ing them a vi­able plat­form to show­case their skills.” On win­ning the Golden Boot Tro­phy, 16-year-old, Rishab Do­brial, said, “It feels amazing to win this tro­phy, con­sid­er­ing my team also won the tour­na­ment. I am ex­hil­a­rated; it only mo­ti­vates (me) to pur­sue play­ing fur­ther.”
