From the enchanted land of fairies
True fashion never gives in to trends. Freeing and nonconforming, it boldly discards what’s routine and embraces all that has the power to stir up a revolution. On Day 2 of HT City Print Fashion Week Season 3, supported by the Fashion Design Council of India, we present to you fashion that’ll enthral and give life to the fantasies within you. In his collection, Moondust, ace designer Gaurav
Gupta presents magical realism in an enchanting way.
With a dreamy colour palette, the most luxe fabrics, exquisite craftsmanship and futuristic silhouettes, Gupta transports you to the beguiling world of fairy folk. His ethereal-seeming gowns imbibe European influences, mixed with exquisite Indian craftsmanship. “I wanted to make couture feel new and refreshing again. I have included structural shapes that seem surreal, but are achieved by painstakingly handcrafted embroidery and silhouettes,” says the designer.
Being an inclusive organisation with a constant aim to support unique experiences, we were happy to host shoots for HT City Print Fashion Week KESHAV SURI, ED, THE LALIT SURI HOSPITALITY GROUP
Couture gets a fantastical, surreal twist in this dream-perfect collection by designer Gaurav Gupta. “It’s like Cindrella wore these clothes to a surreal ball, and we discovered them centuries later,” says Gupta. Luxe fabrics such as chiffon, tulle and lace, and an ethereal colour palette of dovegrey, stone blue and night-teal spell enchantment. European techniques creatively mingled with Indian craftsmanship bring novelty while futuristic, fantastical silhouettes celebrate all that’s dramatic and larger than life. This collection is not for the faint-hearted. If you dread all that’s routine and predictable and rejoice in surprising yourself and others, go for it!
