DELHI SEES CLASS OF ’83
How often is it that one gets to see champions come together for an eve of celebrations? A social gathering in the Capital on Sunday saw cricket veterans, who won India its first World Cup in 1983.
Not surprisingly, when former captain of the Indian national cricket team, Kapil Dev entered with his wife, Romi Bhatia, guests huddled around for selfies. He had to be ushered to the lobby where he made time for his fans. Others who attended the do included former cricketers Saba Karim, Yashpal Sharma and Madan Lal.
