HT City

FOR A HEALTHY AND JOYFUL FUTURE

This year’s HT Palate Fest, which took place at Nehru Park in Chanakyapuri, was not only about binging on succulent kebabs, burgers, and pizzas, but also to remind the customers that staying healthy is essential.

To keep ailments at bay, especially diabetes, HealthCare at HOME (HCAH), presented Dolce Mal, a brand of chocolates handcrafted to get people to not eat them. To get patients to realise the importance of diabetes management, each piece was shaped like an organ, serving as a reminder that if a diabetic patient maintained a diet high in sugar, it could lead to organ damage.

Harshi Singh, 31, said, “Just a couple of days ago, my mother was diagnosed with diabetes, but we haven’t started the treatment yet. So, now I am really looking forward to what HCAH has to offer for her health.” Another visitor said, “I was so surprised to see chocolates shaped like body parts. I took a step back.”

Vivek Srivastava, co-founder and CEO, HCAH, said, “India has become the diabetes capital of the world, with prevalence of the disease estimated to rise from 69.2 million to 123.5 million by 2040. Yet many patients control it poorly, remaining on sugar-rich diets, being unaware that it puts them at the risk of developing serious complications, such as blindness, amputations, kidney failure, and heart disease. We wanted to do something about it.”

Chef Vicky Ratnani said, “The more junk food and sweets you consume, the more you need to exercise to maintain a balance.”

HealthCare at HOME is one of the leading home healthcare service providers in India. Some of the key services offered include setting up ICUs at home, nursing, physiotherapy, etc.
