Yashmeen Manak Chauhan, a body builder who became an Internet sensation after winning Indian Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation’s Miss India in 2016, has won accolades for the country, yet again.

Chauhan’s name is now registered in India Book of Records 2018 in the category of Record Holder at World Stage, chosen by a jury with members from eight Asian countries. She was also awarded the Golden Disk Award for her contribution to health and fitness.

Chauhan, who owns a gym in Gurgaon, did not have it easy, with years of hard work and dedication behind her success. She also follows a balanced diet. “I eat to perform, and for aesthetics as well. I cheat on my diet once in a while but I have serious fitness goals. It is important to eat the right food items in the right ratio at the right time,” she says. The 37-year-old is now preparing for a prestigious international competition that is schedule to take place next year.

“I work out for three hours in the evening and pay special attention to my day to day activities. Also, I don’t like to reveal the names of the competition because I like to work on my plans in silence and let the outcome make all the noise,” says Chauhan.

Her motivation? Her own passion, that Chauhan says, exists in every aspect of her life. “Either I will give it my all or not do it at all. Halfheartedness is not my ingredient for existence.l believe in myself and I set a goal. Nothing can distract me.”
