BOLLYWOOD MUSIC ADDS ROMANCE TO THAR DUNES
Artists Papon, Ayushmann Khurrana and Piyush Mishra spelt magic at the recently concluded first edition of Mahindra Open Sky
As the sun set on the sand dunes of the Thar Desert, the ambience turned into an unforgettable melange of music, adventure, culture, and glamping at the recently concluded festival Mahindra Open Sky. Under a starstudded sky, the tunes of Papon Live, Sam Lewis, Ayushmann Khurrana with his band Ayushmann Bhava, and Piyush Mishra with his band Ballimaaran, charmed the visitors.
Spread over three days, the debut edition of the festival had scintillating music, adventure and culture that unfolded at Reggie’s Camel Camp Osian near Jodhpur.

The mornings at the fest started on a healthy note with wellness sessions by yoga trainer Deepika Mehta. The afternoons were spent offroading in SUVs (sport utility vehicles) that provided an opportunity to see centuriesold temples, the unique culture of local tribes, etc.
Day one saw an eclectic performance by Donn Bhatt + Passenger Revelator at the Sundowners’ Session, performing a line-up of his hit songs. Singer Papon, who celebrated his birthday performing at the fest, crooned popular Assamese folk song Din dina, folk songs of Rajasthan, Punjab, Nepal and Uttarakhand, and on popular demand, a few Bollywood hits, too.
On day two, the rich soulful vocals of American artist Sam Lewis at the Sundowners’ Session was a musical delight. This was his first performance in India.
Actor-lyricist-singer-screenplay writer, Piyush Mishra and his band, Ballimaaraan belted out hit numbers like Arambh Hai Prachand and Ek Bagal Me Chand Hoga among others.
Ayushmann Khurrana with his band Ayushmann Bhava got the audience grooving at the fest.
