This Christmas, party with your pooches in Delhi-NCR
What’s Christmas without your pooches, right? Cafés in Delhi-NCR are doing it all to make this Christmas unforgettable not just for you but for your pets, too. Have a rollicking time at the Fur Ball Story, Sector -54, Gurgaon, with live music performances by artists and a separate menu for the pets, with dishes such as Simply Barkalicio us and Make Me Kissable, among others. “Everyone likes to enjoy and party on Christmas, but for pet parents, it becomes difficult, as they have to either leave their dogs behind, at home or don’t go to parties in the first place. Hence, we wanted to have something for pet parents where they can come and enjoy with their pets. People can meet trainee therapy dogs, and cuddle them, too,” says, Rahul Madan, co-founder of the café.
Take your pick from cookies and Christmas tree-shaped muffins at Puppychino Café, Shahpur Jat, to pancakes and treats for the pooches, such as Belgium dog beer, at Critterati.
“We are planning a party for the pooches, who’ll be accompanied by their parents. The pooches will be wearing Santa dresses, and there will be a play station and buffet for pets as well as the parents. There’s also free food and free anti-rabies vaccination for strays, at a 50 per cent discount on treatment,” says Deepak Chawla, from Critterati Gurgaon. And not just that, anybody adopting a stray will be offered a gift voucher from the hotel. There will also be free coats and food for strays.
Those who want to ensure their pets get to eat their favourite food, can head to Throttle Shrottle, Gurgaon-Faridabad Road, which is organising a snowfall party this Christmas, where pets will get to relish a customised meal. Saurav Priyadarshi, owner of the eatery, says, “We don’t serve pets anything that can upset their stomach. The food will be customised. Pet parents also get to do a photoshoot with their pups.”
To know how well you know your pets, take the quiz at Off The Leash, Sector-59, Gurgaon and win prizes as you find more about your furballs. “There will be a customised cake — made of oats, chicken, apple and banana, for the pets, and a special menu for pet parents,” says Eshita Katyal, founder of the dog park and café.
