Aren’t we all tired of hiding enlarged pores behind make-up every day? Pores are minute openings in our skin that help us sweat and cool down, but can quickly become a major nuisance when they become clogged and enlarged, giving rise to worse problems like blackheads and pimples.

Stress, genetics, and lack of proper skin care are all responsible for enlarged pores. We’ve all used products that claim to bring about permanent shrinkage of pores, which, in reality, is another of the many hoaxes peddled by the cosmetic industry. However, there certainly are ways to make them look smaller, and preventing them in the first place:

The retinol treatment: Massaging retinol over the face for 2 minutes before you go to bed is a proven remedy. Another name for Vitamin A1, retinol is a widely-used topical agent that increases skin turnover and makes pores look smaller.

Use sunscreen regularly: Prolonged exposure to the sun zaps moisture out of our skin and makes pores sag. Use sunscreen whenever stepping out in the sun, throughout the year. Healing from inside: Taking antioxidant supplements like zinc, folic acid, niacinamide and copper helps guard against clogged and enlarged pores.

Soothe with steam: Before you try to shrink your pores, it is necessary to unclog them, and no better way than steam, to do it. The heat will soften the hard sebum (oil) in the pores, thus allowing easier extraction and deep cleansing.

Laser treatment: This is one method that has been proven to be highly effective at addressing pore-related problems. They not only help to reduce pores, but improve skin texture.

TAKING ANTIOXIDANT SUPPLEMENTS LIKE ZINC, FOLIC ACID , NIACINAMIDE, AND COPPER, HELPS GUARD AGAINST CLOGGED AND ENLARGED PORES
