Condé Nast Traveller And Himalayan Sparkling Top Restaurant Awards 2017 recently unveiled India’s 50 best premium restaurants as voted for by over 100 of India’s top tastemakers and influencers. This list of India’s top 50 was topped by Indian Accent (New Delhi), followed by The Bombay Canteen (Mumbai), The Table (Mumbai), Bomras (Goa), and Bukhara, ITC Maurya (New Delhi) respectively.
Hosted by industry veterans Rahul Akerkar and AD Singh, Top Restaurant Awards 2017 also saw leading names from the hospitality industry felicitated for their contribution to the sector.
Former President of NRAI (National Restaurant Association of India) and
Impresario Entertainment and Hospitality’s Riyaaz Amlani won the Game Changer of the Year award.
Condé Nast Traveller’s Alex Kuruvilla and Divia Thani, along with Himalayan Sparkling’s
Kuttiah KS, presented the Condé Nast Traveller and Himalayan Sparkling Raw and Fine Chef award to Chef
Prateek Sadhu of Masque (Mumbai). Sadhu was awarded for embodying Himalayan Sparkling’s philosophy of celebrating establishments and chefs for whom ingredients with a unique and natural source play a central role.
Zorawar Kalra received the Condé Nast Traveller and Singleton Selections The Inherently Good Taste award from Kuruvilla, Thani and Diageo India’s Jagbir Sidhu.
Le15’s Pooja Dhingra bagged the title of Innovator of the Year, and Instagram sensation Shivesh Bhatia was the Social Media Star of the Year. Additionally, Conscious Food was awarded the title of Homegrown Brand of the Year, an honour presented to them by
Amitabh Kant, the man behind the Incredible India campaign, who is now CEO, NITI Aayog.
