The book lovers in the Capital had nine days of pure bliss, at the recentlyconcluded New Delhi World Book Fair. This year, the fair hosted the European Union (EU) as the guest of honour. The EU participation included sessions with authors from nine EU countries, writing workshops, a crash course in creating comics, and more.
Many also met their favourite Indian authors, such as Payal Dhar and Shabri Prasad. Publishers were quite happy with the footfall. “The footfall was great. This clearly proves that books, especially physical books, are here to stay,” says Ajay Mago, publisher, Om Books International. Buyers, too. loved the deals. “I’m returning with a bag full of books, thanks to great discounts,” says Richa Sharma, a visitor. Here’s a round-up. HTC
