Sidharth and Manoj celebrate Republic Day with Jawans

-

The cast and crew of director Neeraj Pandey’s Aiyaary visited the Border Security Force (BSF) camp in Jaisalmer, and spent three days at the training camp, as well as the surveillance post at the border. While the training camp was situated within the city of Jaisalmer, the border was almost two hours away from the city.

A source reveals what went into the trip. “[Actors] Manoj Bajpayee and Sidharth Malhotra began their training drill early in the day, as all drills have to start before sunrise. The physical training included long jump, jumping over a six feet wall, rope climbing, etc. Sidharth also practiced carrying an injured soldier on his shoulder, which was monitored by his on-screen mentor Manoj. They learnt how to use and take care of guns. Along with Neeraj, Manoj, and Sidharth, actors Rakul Preet Singh and Pooja Chopra visited all departments and surveillance areas,” says the source.

The source adds that the entire team later met and encouraged soldiers for the kind of work BSF puts in protecting the borders. Sidharth and Manoj got to learn a lot about how BSF jawans perform their day-today duties.

Aiyaary revolves around two strong-minded army officers who have completely different views, but are right in their own ways. In the movie, Sidharth’s character will be seen sharing a mentor-protege bond with Manoj’s character.
