For Sapna, good content matters, medium doesn’t
Actor Sapna Pabbi, who is working in a new web series now, says the medium doesn’t bother her as she only wants to be a part of a good story.
Sapna gained popularity with the television series, 24, and has also worked in the web series, The Trip.
So, does she find the digital platform more interesting than films? “Honestly, good content matters to me. The medium does not matter. Whether it is a TV show, a film or a web series, I am not bothered. I’ve grown up in England. So it does not make sense to me to differentiate,” says Sapna.
Coming from a non-film background, Sapna says she has learnt a lot on the job and her ability as an actor has grown over a period of time. “When I came to work on 24, I knew almost nothing about acting. But I’m constantly working on my skills and can see a growth. I’m also adapting to the work culture here and it’s all good,” she adds.
The show is an intense thriller. The actor says this didn’t give the cast much time to have fun during the show as everyone was focussed on their respective characters.
“I’m playing Ria Ganguly who is a strong, independent woman and a mother who lost her child. Even after the tragedy, she is constantly trying to get on with life,” she explains.
