Rohit Shetty’s Singham is now an animated series for kids

Singham (2011) which is one of Bollywood’s most successful super cop franchise, directed by Rohit Shetty, is all set to reach a new milestone. The film is now being turned into an animated series, titled Little Singham. Original in content, the series that is being launched by Rohit Shetty Picturez, Reliance Animation and Discovery Kids, will make its debut in April on the Discovery Kids Channel.

The introducto­ry line of the show is ‘Police ki wardi, Sher ka Damm, Naam hai mera – Little Singham’ and it targets kids in the age group of 5-11 years and will be aired in 4 languages – English, Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu. The first season will have 156 episodes and 5 tele features. Speaking about this project, Rohit says, “Singham has been a successful franchise in Bollywood and I am glad to be associated with Little Singham. The love and appreciati­on for the movie was immense and I hope that the kids will love it’s animation series too.”

Shibasish Sarkar, Reliance Entertainm­ent says, “Little Singham will set a completely new benchmark for animation in India. With Rohit mentoring the animated series, we are confident of taking the Singham franchise to newer heights.”

Rohit Shetty presents in collaborat­ion with Discovery Kids, Reliance Animation and Rohit Shetty Picturez, Little Singham will air on television in April 2018.
