India’s definitive design and home décor week, India

Design ID 2018, was flagged off recently and is on till February 25, at the NSIC Grounds, Okhla. An Ogaan initiative, presented by Asian Paints, ID is now in its sixth successful year and brings together over 130 brands from India and across the globe unveiling their latest collection­s.

The platform comprises of four verticals — ID Exhibit, ID Symposium, ID Satellite, and ID Talks.

ID Exhibit showcases the finest in home décor, across all categories. Visitors can check out new collection­s by Ravish Vohra Home, Klove, Sarita Handa, and Obeetee amongst others.

Interior designer and architect, Kohelika Kohli’s wooden pavilion for Artius, which is a 3D installati­on of 200 sq m modern liveable wooden house is definitely worth the visit. New exhibitors participat­ing in this edition include Roche Bobois, Auxiliarie­s, MINI, La Sorogeeka, WITHIN, Rasa, and QUEO along with Sans Souci, presenting a collection that is permeated by glass from the floor to the ceiling.

The ID Symposium is a three-day event that is on till February 24. It is a great platform for Indian and global design luminaries participat­ing in interactiv­e sessions. The stellar panel includes acclaimed internatio­nal designers and artists like Ross Lovegrove, Javier Mariscal, Massimilia­no and Doriana Fuksas, Ron Arad, contempora­ry artist and cyborg activist Neil Harbisson, along with Michelin star French chef Alain Passard. Indian artists and designers on the panel include couturier Sabyasachi Mukherjee, interior designers Sussanne Khan and Simone Arora, art collector Swapan Seth, and design architect Zafar Chaudhary amongst others.

The Art Lounge, curated by Roshini Vadehra, is a live space with artworks from three of Delhi’s best galleries – Vadehra Art Gallery, Nature Morte, and Gallery Espace. The place also serves as a coffee lounge in the morning and transforms into a cocktail bar in the evening.
