Indigo: This shade of deep blue is in tune with the mood of the festival. For instance, abstract motifs done in hand block on soft, durable cotton can be designed into an ideal Holi brunch dress.

Ajrak: The colours of ajrak, extracted from madder roots, berries, roses, leaves, turmeric and saffron can be used to design boho-chic outfits. Kalamkari: Kalamkari ■ motifs like vines, figurines and Buddha faces, dipped in natural colours, can be used to make an elegant outfit for evening celebratio­ns.
