A perfect dose of reality

-

Reality is stranger than fiction, and that’s what director Vishal Pandya’s film Hate Story IV is all about. Pandya says that the film is inspired by real incidents that made headlines. “The hatred that you feel is triggered by real-life incidents, which the film takes inspiration from. The film is based on current issues that affect women. We talk about gender equality, but we still haven’t seen society following it. We always hear people talking about taking action to address such issues, but this film will see us taking a step against such problems,” Pandya says.

Starring Urvashi Rautela, Karan Wahi, Vivan Bhathena, Ihana Dhillon and Gulshan Grover, the film has intrigued the interest of the audience thanks to its interesting trailer. The film’s songs, which have already topped music charts like the previous instalments’ tracks, have set a benchmark for the franchise. With every release, the franchise is gaining ground in terms of the number of screens it’s released in, and Hate Story IV is set to release in about 2,500 screens.

Pandya, who also directed Hate Story 2 and Hate Story 3, is ecstatic with the franchise’s success. “I am glad to be directing the fourth edition, because this is the first time that a film belonging to the thriller-revenge-erotica genre has been accepted by the audience so widely,” he adds.

Hate Story IV is produced by T-Series and releases today.
