Seven foods that help you deal with hair fall and promote hair growth
Luscious hair is indicative of your good health. But, if you think a good shampoo and a conditioner is all that you need to maintain your tresses, you ought to think twice. Your daily diet plays an integral role in maintaining the state of your hair. And a negligent diet will reflect on your hair-health, resulting on hair fall, dandruff and poor hair growth.We spoke to nutritionists Kavita Devgan and Tripti Tandon, who gave us a list of food that you should include in their diet for healthy hair.
SPINACH
Iron deficiency results in hair fall. Apart from being rich in iron, spinach is also full of calcium, vitamin A, C. Add spinach in your diet to decrease hair fall.
SALMON
Our hair is protein fiber. This means we need protein in our diet for growth of new hair. Salmon is an excellent source of protein. Protein is also required to produce keratin, an important component of hair.
SWEET POTATOES
For shine and moisture, scalp needs to produce sebum, which is rich in Vitamin A. Sweet potatoes are loaded with vitamin A.
ALMONDS
Vitamin E is essential for increasing hair growth, repairing tissues and reducing inflammation. A handful of almonds, every day will ensure right amount of vitamin E in the body.
OATS
Want to know the secret to thick, voluminous hair? It’s omega-6 fatty acids and polyunsaturated fatty acids. And oats are rich in omega-6 fatty acids and polyunsaturated fatty acid that help to have thick hair.
WALNUTS

CINNAMON
At times, your diet maybe good but that doesn’t mean that your hair follicles are getting enough nutrients. This will result in less hair growth. Include cinnamon in your diet to improve blood circulation in your scalp and ensure that your scalp gets nutrients.
