Jacqueline’s Kathak moves
She is known to be a talented performer, especially vis-à-vis her dancing capabilities. In the latest instance, we have learnt that Bollywood actor Jacqueline Fernandez — for the past few days — has been busy learning Kathak. In fact, in the recent past, the Judwaa 2 (2017) actor had surprised everyone with her near-perfect pole dancing abilities.
“From her hot and sexy avatar of a pole dancer, Jacqueline has transformed into an exquisite Kathak performer, which she usually performs wearing churidaars, kurtas and long skirts. She had learnt pole dancing for a film (A Gentleman; 2017, opposite Sidharth Malhotra) but Kathak is something that she is learning for herself. In fact, she has been an absolute regular at her Kathak classes which she has been busy with for some time now. Although, she is busy shooting for back-toback films, she still takes out time to perfect her Kathak moves,” says an insider close to her.
Apparently, the classical Indian dance form piqued Jacqueline’s interest as it “emphasises on rhythmic foot movements adorned with ghungroo harmonised to the music”.
“Since Kathak is more about grace and expressions, Jacqueline found it extremely enriching creatively, and that’s what attracted her towards it in the first place. There is a stark difference in both the dance forms (pole dance and Kathak) which helps a performer show her range. That’s why although it hasn’t been easy for her to learn Kathak, she is in no mood to give up,” says the insider.
Work wise, the actor is currently busy shooting for her upcoming film, Race 3 alongside Salman Khan. She also has Tarun Manusukhani’s next, Drive alongside Sushant Singh Rajput.
