Long work shifts, partying till the wee hours, or compromising on sleep — all this doesn’t just leave you exhausted but your skin, too. And the damage is visible, especially on your face. The skin starts to lose its glow, and looks tired all the time. But, like most skin woes, this, too, can be fixed using simple home remedies.

Here, beauty experts share easy-to-prepare packs, the goodness of which can polish, rejuvenate and replenish tired skin. These recipes are far from elaborate skin-care rituals, and thus, perfect for you even if time is a luxury for you.

EXFOLIATE DRY SKIN

Simple yet effective, this mask is apt for those with dry, dull skin. Take 2 tablespoons of sugar, dissolve in water and apply on skin. After 2 to 3 minutes, remove gently to reveal smooth, radiant skin. This can be done once a week.

COMBAT TANNING AND BLEMISHES

Daily exposure to sun can lead to tanning and blemishes, making your face look more mature for your age. Prepare a face pack with 3 tablespoons of pure sandalwood powder, rose water, and a few strands of saffron. Apply on the face, and rinse off after 10 minutes. This is an excellent pack for healing pimples, acne, fading dark spots and making your skin tone even.

A REPLENISHING MIX

Mash a ripe banana with milk and apply on face using circular movements. Loaded with vitamin and minerals, this mask will instantly rejuvenate dry and rough skin.

TAKE CARE OF SUNKEN AND TIRED EYES

Prepare these simple eye packs to soothe and cure puffy, sunken eyes:

Mash some cucumber and potato. Strain the juice and keep the pulp. Now, add basil tea water to the pulp, and let the mixture refrigerate. Dab onto puffy eyes.

Place a rounded spoon in the fridge for some time, and then hold it against the puffy portion.

Tea bags can also reduce puffiness. Do the same thing you did with the spoon. Refrigerate a used tea bag and then place on eyes for instant relaxation.

If your work requires you to sit in front of a computer screen all day, make sure you are seated in well-lit area. You must also use anti glare shield for the monitor of your system or use anti glare glasses for your eyes to reduce strain.

Also, blink your eyes as often as possible, or they’d feel dry and itchy. Splash cool water on your eyes in every break you take. This is a great way to refresh tired eyes. And when you step out in the sun, wear sunglasses with UV protection.
