Aamir Khan to join Instagram
Over a decade back, Aamir Khan had a successful tryst with blogging. After that too, the superstar continued his association with social media by commanding a huge following on Facebook and Twitter. Now, in the latest instance, we have come to know that the actor is set to make an Instagram debut on his birthday today.
“Yes, it’s true. Aamir is going to expand his digital imprints on the occasion of his birthday with an Instagram account. Although the actor has a number of fans and followers on Twitter and Facebook, he remained absent from the picture sharing social networking platform despite many asking him to join the bandwagon. But now, he is set to spring a surprise on his fans by appearing on the platform,” says an insider.
Clearly, Aamir is not only exploring new markets (such as China, Turkey, Taiwan and Russia) with his films, but is also reaching out to his fans through various forms of media as well as social media platforms. “Currently, he has the social media reach of more than 37 million users, and now, he is excited to be on Instagram as it will give his fans a visual access to him. He also feels it’s the right time to get onto the photo-sharing portal,” says the insider.
Aamir is having a working birthday this year, thanks to the shooting schedule of his next, Thugs Of Hindostan in Jodhpur. “He is extremely happy to be working with Amitabh Bachchan for the first time, who was also in the Rajasthan city for the shoot,” says the insider. Aamir couldn’t be reached for a comment.
