MARKLE MISSING ONLINE FRIENDS
Former actor and soon-tobe-royal Meghan Markle is “missing” her online friends after being forced to give up social media ahead of her wedding to Britain’s Prince Harry.
Kensington Palace said that she had closed down her Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook accounts in January 2018.
However, insiders claim that Markle is suffering from withdrawal symptoms from being away from social media and is missing the online community, reports mirror.co.uk.
“She is missing her friends and the wider circle she had on social media. She’s finding things harder than she thought and it will take time to adjust,” sources said.
Markle, who was a part of the popular TV show Suits, had 3,50,000 followers on Twitter, 8,00,000 on Facebook, and a whopping 1.9 million on Instagram.
It should be noted that senior members of the British monarchy only have official social media accounts, which are run by social media teams and do not usually feature personal posts. As she will become a part of Kensington Palace after her wedding in May 2018, social media posts will be made on Markle’s behalf by the palace’s communications staff.
Insiders also said that the royal bride-to-be is struggling to adjust to life in the spotlight. A source shared, “She can no longer just get up without her makeup and take the dog for a walk in the park or nip to the shops for a bag of sugar.”
However, insiders insist that Prince Harry has been helping her through the transition.
