This Delhi lady is making a mark
Interesting subject, engaging script, appealing characters and picturesque location are a few elements that go into the making of a successful movie. But the most challenging task is perhaps to cast the right actors to play the role of the characters in a film.
One such lady, who is doing this work with great panache is Deepali Sarin ,a Delhiite, who is a casting director for Delhi actors, in Bollywood. Sarin has been working in the film industry for the last 20 years, and has been part of several hit projects, including the recent runaway hit, Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety.
Speaking about how she decides on casting an actor for a character, Sarin, says, “I observe people and therefore have a sense of which actor will be best suited for a role. My job is to bring out their talent in the best possible way.” Besides her successful career as a casting director, Sarin is also an entrepreneur, who runs a company named, Abhi Creation in Noida. Sarin has worked in over 150 films and more than 100 television advertisements.
When she is not working, Sarin likes to spend time with her two sons, and her husband, who is also Delhi line producer for Bollywood films. “I derive my strength from them,” she says. Talking about her success, she adds, “Our destiny depends on our efforts. Listen to your heart and your inner strength to create magic.”
