A reunion in Abu Dhabi!
Actor Anil Kapoor had a meeting with Hollywood superstar Tom Cruise a couple of days ago in the UAE capital
During the course of shooting for his next, Race 3 in Abu Dhabi, Anil Kapoor must have had several meetings in the UAE capital. But we have come to know that a couple of days back, Kapoor had a very special rendezvous with
a distinguished guest – Hollywood superstar Tom Cruise.
“Few have any inkling about Anil sir’s special meeting but it’s true that the two met. In fact, as soon as they found out that they were in the same city, Anil sir and Tom worked their incredibly packed schedules around to make time to meet each other,” says an insider. For the uninitiated, Kapoor and Cruise worked together in Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol (MI4; 2011).
Sources close to Kapoor maintain that Kapoor and Cruise are “quite close” especially since they have known each other for over seven years now. “The two have always kept in touch. Although they met after a long time, they bonded warmly. Tom was keen to know what Anil sir has been up to of late. During the conversation, when Tom got to know that Anil sir has four releases coming up, he commended him on his infectious energy and enthusiasm,” adds the insider.
It’s believed that Kapoor and Cruise “spent an entire day together catching up on their professional and personal journeys”. “Tom and Anil sir spent hours talking about their films, families, food and fitness. Knowing their passion for fitness, it wasn’t surprising that a large part of their conversation revolved around it,” says the insider.
Sources maintain that Tom even complimented Kapoor and said he was “happy to see him looking fitter than ever”. “They spoke at length about the stunts in the new Mission Impossible film. Anil sir has often expressed his admiration for Tom’s work ethics, especially since Tom performs all his stunts regardless of how dangerous and demanding they are. Tom also praised Anil sir’s new look in his new film,” adds the insider.
