HARASSED BY FAMILY, CLAIMS SIDHARTH SAGAR
The comedian, who could not be traced for months, recently posted a video, speaking about what has been troubling him
Comedian Sidharth Sagar, who shot to fame when he appeared in hit shows such as Comedy Circus, Comedy Nights Live, and The Kapil Sharma Show, recently went ‘missing’.
One of his friends posted a picture of him on Facebook, and wrote, “You guys remember him Siddharth Sagar aka Selfie Mausi urf Naseer this guy is missing since four month last seen on 18 November 2017. Nobody knows where he is. He is my very good friend please help me find him spread this as much as u can (sic).”
This sent social media into a tizzy, and reportedly, Sidharth, who played the lead role in the horror comedy TV show Pritam Pyare Aur Woh, was not traceable.
Rumours were doing the rounds that his own family had been harassing him, and he wanted to get away from them.
According to reports in 2016, he was dating his co-star from a comedy show, Subuhi Joshi, and his mother objected to it. She abused Subuhi, and the couple parted ways. Subuhi, however, later clarified to a daily that the two were just ‘good friends’, and it was only Sidharth’s mother’s suspicion. She added, “I’m equally upset and have severed all ties with him as I can’t be friends with a spineless man. I have not been shooting for the show since the incident.”
After much hullabaloo, Sidharth finally posted a video on Instagram on March 29. While the caption read: “right now im in safe hands ...will update you guys in 2-3 days”, he shared that he has filed an NC (non-cognizable case) against his family as they have been mentally harassing him.
“Hi everyone, abhi mujhe bahut saare calls aaye, poochhne ke liye main theek hoon ya nahi, kahaan pe hoon, kaisa hoon. Abhi main bahut pareshaani se guzaraa hoon. Maine apni family ke khilaaf NC ki thi, jiske andar unhone mere liye bahut saari problems create ki thi. Main mentally bahut harass hua hoon. Abhi main jis jagah pe hoon, unhone mujhe bahut support kiya hai. Main media ke saamne aake ek-do din mein milunga, aur main sab kuchh khul ke bataunga mere saath kya hua hai,” Sidharth said in the video.
Sidharth added that he was putting up the video in response to the concern of his fans and media people who have been calling him to check up on him.
