Just a mention of ‘board exams’ is sufficient to increase the stress level of youngsters and their parents. So, a holiday after exams is a must. And, that’s exactly what the city teens have planned, alongside a host of other activities.

“My last CBSE board exam was Sociology (April 10). After appearing for the exam, we changed and immediately left for the movies and watched the horror flick, A Quiet Place, and after that, we headed to Connaught Place to party until late night. We had been planning this since January,” says Manvi Singh, a 19-yearold humanities student. She adds that in the days to come, she and her friends have planned to attend a live music concert followed by a family outing: “My parents have booked our tickets to the Maldives for the third week of April. So, I’ll be spending some quality time with my parents on foreign shores!”

For those who have to reappear for the Economics paper – which was recently reported as having leaked – there is a severe change in plans. Areeb Afzal, a 17-yearold commerce student, says, “My family had booked our tickets to visit Kashmir. But, now everything has gone awry. If at all I get a chance to go out in May, then I’ll head to Himachal Pradesh. Wapas aane ke baad to BBA ki entrance preparation mein hi saara time nikal jana hai.”

“It’s sad that I had to cancel my solo trip to the US… April 25 is way too far,” says Mehak Bhatia, a 17-year-old humanities student, adding, “Now if nothing, I’ll try and go to Mumbai for two days and de-stress before the gruelling college admissions begin.”
