'I'M NOT UPLOADING ANYTHING FOR TROLLS APPROVAL

Not one to give it back to trolls, Disha Patani prefers to not pay heed to how people react to her videos and photos on social media. “I don’t care [about] their comments. I’m not uploading anything for their approval. It’s just me and my world,” says the actor.

Much like several other Bollywood stars, Disha, too, has been subjected to body shaming comments. She has, however, stopped reading the negative remarks. “I don’t share much about my personal life anyway. It’s only photos or videos during a film’s promotion. As far as comments are concerned, I used to [read] in between, but these guys (trolls) write nonsense, especially for girls,” says Disha, who has realised that such people have nothing [better] to do in life. “Commenting on other people’s profiles and saying mean things makes them feel happier in their own world. So, that’s okay. And most of them are fake profiles,” she maintains.

While Disha mostly stays calm, earlier this year, she slammed a news channel that called her “ugly” while comparing her childhood picture in a school dress with her recent photos. “I felt it was needed, not for me, but the kids who’d be looking at this picture and feel, ‘Oh, we are ugly, we don’t do hair and makeup, we don’t go [to school] in cool dresses’. No, in school, you are supposed to look like this... And that’s what I tried conveying in my tweet also,” shares Disha.
