The latest offering from OnePlus - OnePlus 6 - is a great looking smartphone with high-level specifications. And Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan, who is the brand ambassador for the company in India, is already a fan of the new OnePlus device. "Representing this wonderful brand has been a great privilege and honour for me. OnePlus as a brand for me represents something unique, something young and something that stands out in the market,” he said.
Talking about the new smartphone, OnePlus Founder and CEO Pete Lau said, “With the OnePlus 6, we challenged ourselves to deliver an external design as smooth and elegant as the work we've done inside the device. We're proud of what we've accomplished, and we hope our users are too.”
Since the company’s first ever pop-up at Times Square in New York (USA), OnePlus has continued with its tradition of celebrating new product launches by setting up pop-ups and engaging with its core user community. The company also organised gala pop-up events simultaneously catering to over 25,000 fans of the phone, across 26 cities around the world. In India, OnePlus 6 pop-ups were organised across eight major cities including Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Pune, Ahmedabad, Kolkata and Chennai on May 21 and 22.
Customers queued up to be the first to experience and purchase the powerful and stylish OnePlus 6 and also meet the OnePlus team and their favorite celebrity at the pop-up events. This year, celebrities like Guru Randhawa, Aditi Rao Hydari, Chitrangada Singh, Bani J among several others, were a part of the pop-up events in India. And the new launch is being loved by everyone, which is evident from the sales figures - on day one OnePlus 6 set a new record with `100 crores in sales in the first 10 minutes, exceeding the entire first day sales of the OnePlus 5T within the first hour.
