Fan frenzy: When Shashank Vyas mistook his portrait for a photo
Television actor Shashank Vyas treasures the love and affection which he gets from his fans. Recently, a fan from Indonesia sketched a portrait of the actor and gifted it to him. The actor was floored by the gesture and he even shared those photos on Instagram. “Just so so Excellent .... thank you @shierly_arts,” he wrote.
Talking about the portrait that resembles Shashank to a T, the actor confesses that he first took it to be a photo and could not believe that it was actually a portrait. “I’ve never seen so much detailing in a sketch. My fans never fail to impress me. I’m so grateful to them for showering me with so much love. Whatever I am today is because of their love and faith in me,” he says.
The actor, who is in Jakarta now for a dance reality show, also met Shierly Lin, the fan who gifted him the artwork.
He says, “Meeting Shirley was wonderful.
It takes a lot of effort to do something that she has done [for me] and I could not thank her enough.”
The actor enjoys a huge base in that part of the world. Beaming about it, the actor says, “Indonesia is full of love and warmth. It’s so nice to be here. The fans are welcoming and warm; it makes me feel at home. It is amazing to be here during the time of Ramzaan.” Shierly had earlier done sketches of television actors Tinaa Dattaa and Shaheer Sheikh.
