Get your fix of all things organic at this two-month-long weekend bazaar

Awide range of pottery, hand block printed bags, patterned kitchen linen, coconut bath products, homemade pickles and spices will be up for grabs at the upcoming Evening Nature Bazaar in the city.

The two-day event is part of the NGO Dastkar’s initiative to celebrate the Environmen­t Month, by offering organic products ranging from spices and exotic food to natural beauty products.

“The Evening Nature Bazaar is a one-stop shop for all the organic stuff, spices and exotic food [for one] to splurge on,” one of the organisers, says, adding, “It is a weekend getaway to enjoy the vibe of an organic market.”

The exhibition, set to commence on June 9 at Nature Bazaar, Andheria Modh, will also be an opportunit­y for craftspeop­le to gain exposure and interact with customers in the Capital, and in the process, gauge market trends and consumers’ demands.

Organic brands’ stalls at the venue will put up fresh farm produce, salts and seasonings for summer delicacies and other products. While certain brands will have on offer, natural bath and body care products, there will also be stalls selling, toiletries and cosmetics made out of coconut. One can also purchase mild soaps made from real charcoal, mint and aloe vera.

The market will also feature a food arena for visitors to binge on flavoured icy popsicles, fresh fruit-based coolers, lemonade and salads, frothy and delicious buttermilk, and milkshakes to beat the heat. Organic pizzas made using hand-kneaded dough, farm fresh organic vegetables, topped with fresh cheese and herbs will also be available.

For pottery items, handwoven cotton apparel, handmade baskets and other handcrafte­d accessorie­s, craft lovers can pay a visit to the Gali-e-Khaas. The market will be set up every weekend till July-end.
