Ashish grateful for his director, co-star
Anyone who works with Vikramaditya Motwane is all praise for the filmmaker. Ashish Verma is the new entrant in that club, having starred in Bhavesh Joshi Superhero, alongside Harshvardhan Kapoor.
Ashish, who has been appreciated for his acting prowess in the recent release, says working on Motwane’s film “was the best experience he has had as an actor”, as the Lootera (2013) director knows what he wants. “Everything is very clear in his head. He is a delight to work with. The process was emotionally and physically intense, and rewarding. He’s a workaholic and is constantly busy and alert. He expects the same out of you; at the same time, he lets you be,” says Ashish, who debuted into films with Chashme Baddoor (2013) and then went on to do Mickey Virus (2013), Hero (2015) and Gurgaon (2017).
In Bhavesh Joshi Superhero, he plays Harshvardhan’s friend, Rajat. About his co-star, the actor says, “Harsh is a niche actor, very hard working. He is intelligent and sincere as a co-star who gives you space. Three of us, Priyanshu [Painyuli ], Harsh and I became friends. So, the chemistry that you see among us in the film came in easy for us.”
When Ashish was approached for the part, he loved the way his character was etched, and found the script to be “amazing”. Also, it was a dream to work with Motwane. Looking back, he is happy to have made the right choice.
