ARKO SET FOR NEXT INTERNATIONAL COLLABORATION
Musician Arko Pravo Mukherjee is set to collaborate with Grammynominated American music producer Brandon Friesen, who’ll visit India later this year
Musician Arko Pravo Mukherjee recently spoke about his love for collaborations, and that he’ll be collaborating with the English pop-rock group The Kooks. It looks like the music Gods were listening when he expressed his interest in collaborations, as now, Arko is all set for another collaboration — this time with the popular American music producer, Brandon Friesen. The two met in California, and discussed the possibility of a collaboration. They will work together on two tracks. They are planning one project in London and one in India, for which Brandon will visit the country for first time.
“We celebrated and discussed the common art that ties people from all around the world — Music. I had an amazing time with Brandon,” Arko says, adding that he and Brandon have very similar musical tastes. “It is always great to have friends who have similar taste and share same amount of energy and passion towards music. I’m looking forward to our collaboration this year,” he says, beaming.
However, this is not the first time that the two would be working together. They earlier worked on the music production of two of Arko’s songs — the single, Aainda (2017) and Rangdaari for the film Daasdev.
Brandon, who has worked with many musicians and bands such as Nickelback, Everlast, and Three Days Grace, too, is excited about the collaboration. “It was an absolute pleasure meeting Arko. I have immense appreciation for his commitment to his artistry, and his vision toward crafting timeless songs that pull on your heart strings while transcending borders and languages. Arko and I have written English songs together that are turning out [to be] incredible, and he was generous enough to let me collaborate on a few Hindi film tracks with him last year,” he tells us.
About his plans to visit India, Brandon says, “I’m looking forward to coming over to Mumbai, later this year to work on a very cool concept the two of us created during our last meeting. I can’t wait for the Indian music fans to see what we are cooking up.”
