Ranveer’s Swiss sojourn
If you’re dreaming of a vacation in a gorgeous, scenic land, actor Ranveer Singh’s frequent trips to Switzerland and the quirky Instagram posts of his Swiss holiday are bound to give you some travel goals.
With the launch of the new summer campaign, Ranveer, who is also a travel buff, spills the beans on why he is #inLOVEwithSwitzerland.
Revealing the details of his recent trip, the actor says, “I am always surprised by how much Switzerland has to offer. This time around, I visited the French-speaking Lake Geneva region, which showed me a very different side to this country. This region is more laid-back and has a lot to offer in terms of culture and gastronomical delights.”
Ranveer adds, “Montreux has some really interesting places, such as my idol Freddie Mercury’s studio — the Queen Studio — and the historical Chillon Castle, to name a few. I also visited Chaplin’s World in nearby Vevey. Charlie Chaplin’s home of 25 years is now turned into a museum and it also hosts some of his iconic movie sets. Lausanne is home to the famous Olympic Museum and close to the breathtakingly beautiful Lavaux vineyard terraces, a UNESCO World Heritage site. And just a short drive will take you to the thrills of Glacier 3000 with its Alpine rollercoaster, Peak Walk, and of course, lots and lots of snow.”
