Sonam has a family reunion of sorts at Beyoncé’s London concert
This month has been really special for actor Sonam K Ahuja. For starters, her new film, Veere Di Wedding, has turned out to be a big hit. Plus, she also celebrated her 33rd birthday, the first one after marrying Delhi-based businessman, Anand S Ahuja.
Around her birthday, the Pad Man star told us that she was travelling to London, UK, to ring in her birthday (on June 9) with Anand, her sister Rhea Kapoor, and a few close friends, including actors Kareena Kapoor Khan and Karisma Kapoor.
We’ve learnt that Sonam’s London sojourn just became “more special”, thanks to international pop star Beyoncé’s concert in the UK capital on June 16. An insider tells us, “Not many know that
Rhea and Sonam are huge fans of Beyoncé. When Anand got to know about Beyoncé’s concert, he thought of this special birthday gift for Sonam and a musical treat for everyone else. Sonam was delighted with such a sweet gift from her husband.”
What’s interesting is that the Beyoncé concert turned out to be a “family reunion of sorts”. The insider says, “Besides Rhea and Sonam, her cousins Khushi and Janhvi Kapoor (daughters of Boney Kapoor and the late Sridevi), and Tamara Ralph (designer of the label Ralph & Russo) also attended the concert.”
Sonam has been in London since her birthday. The actor had told us that her husband lives between London and Delhi but mostly in the UK capital. Workwise, Sonam has the release of the Sanjay Dutt biopic coming up. Plus, she will also start work on the film adaptation of The Zoya Factor, followed by Battle for Bittora. She also has Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga, costarring her father, Anil Kapoor.
