HOW GURPREET GOT HIS BREAK IN TELEVISION
Actor Gurpreet Singh might have become a popular face after his successful run in television shows, but he was only able to pursue his love for the art after a friend encouraged him to not let this dream of becoming an actor go waste.
“I wanted to get in the film industry but didn’t know what was the right path. A friend once suggested that I have a good jawline and, maybe, I should start with modelling first, and that I should not sit on this dream and wait for some miracle to happen. This encouraged me to shift to Mumbai from Delhi. Once I started modelling, offers for acting started pouring in and I got my big break from Ekta (Kapoor) in Kahiin To Hoga,” says Gurpreet.
The actor, who has been part of shows such as Saarrthi, Maayka, and Rangrasiya, recalls one of the many interesting auditions he has been through.
“There was this one audition for a clothing brand. I saw that the other models were much better than me. So, I thought that there was no way that I was going to get this assignment. But I gave the audition nonetheless, and when I got the part, I was really shocked but happy,” he says.
