Neil set to turn film producer
Neil Nitin Mukesh, who recently announced his impending fatherhood, is all set to join the bandwagon of Bollywood actors who are turning film producers.
Neil will produce, while his younger brother Naman will direct the yet-untitled movie.
Talking about this foray, Neil says, “In the business of entertainment, there are no creative boundaries. I’ve created an identity for myself as an actor but I’m also known as a musician, director, and writer. Filmmaking entails multiple layers and facets, which is very appealing to me since I’ve always believed in not being typecast. Our longterm vision is to cater to diversity through cutting-edge content.”
He adds, “Naman and I have been working on the script of the maiden project for the past two years and the whole venture is as [valuable] to him as it is to me.”
While Neil has worked as an assistant director prior to his foray into mainstream cinema, Naman has trained with filmmakers Abbas-Mustan and Bejoy Nambiar for over six years.
Neil will be seen next in the trilingual Saaho with Prabhas, Shraddha Kapoor; in Firrkie, co-starring Jackie Shroff; and in Sai Srinivas Bellamkonda’s untitled film. ANI
