Viru encounters a cop with his diary, in Delhi
In the midst of Sunday shoppers at a Delhi mall, when former Indian cricketer Virender Sehwag and IPS officer Amit Lodha introduced the latter’s debut book, Bihar Diaries, fans of literature and cricket rejoiced alike.
From recalling his days at IIT to talking about the every day dangers that a police officer and his family face, Lodha spoke quite a bit and even sang a song. Sehwag displayed his usual humour and said, “When I was a kid, my mother used to say, ‘If you don’t behave properly, I’ll hand you over to the police.’ Now, I scare my kids the same way. So, whenever they see police, they stop making mischief. Darane ke bahut kaam aati hai police!” Those present at the do included Rajiv Jain (director, Intelligence Bureau) and KK Sharma (director general, Border Security Force).
