Irrfan singing, sending recordings to Vishal

-

National Award-winning actor Irrfan, who has been recuperating from neuroendocrine tumour in London for the past few months, has proved he is a warrior for life. The Piku (2015) and Hindi Medium (2017) actor has been sharing inspiring messages and pictures that prove his never-say-die spirit. And now, filmmaker Vishal Bhardwaj plans to resume work on his next, starring the actor, soon.

“As soon as Irrfan recovers and comes back, we will start our shooting for the film,” said Bhardwaj about the project. The said film, starring Irrfan and Deepika Padukone had to be stalled midway after the former had revealed that he was suffering from a rare disease. Bhardwaj, who has collaborated with the actor in films such as Maqbool (2003), 7 Khoon Maaf (2011), and Haider (2014), says, “Irrfan is in touch with me. It is great that he is recovering and I pray for his speedy recovery. I hope he comes back soon and starts working in films again. I keep talking to him, and these days, he is sending me songs recorded in his own voice. He is watching cricket, too.”

Irrfan changed his display picture on Twitter recently — as zestful and lively as ever, wearing a yellow T-shirt and headphones around his neck, even if a little gaunt, and visibly in the middle of his treatment.

Vishal Bhardwaj, on the other hand, is looking forward to the release of his next, Pataakha, starring Sanya Malhotra and Radhika Madan.
