Disha dances with her dream choreographer
After the success of Baaghi 2, actor Disha Patani has started shooting for Ali Abbas Zafar’s Bharat. The actor, who plays a trapeze artist in the film, recently wrapped up shooting for a song alongside Salman Khan. It has been choreographed by Vaibhavi Merchant. Apparently, Disha has been a huge admirer of Vaibhavi’s choreography over the years.
“Disha is passionate about learning new dance forms. She has been dancing since she was a kid, but started learning extensively to hone her skills in the past two years. She tries and practises almost every day. She knows the hip hop style really well,” says a source. “Disha even puts up her dance rehearsal videos on the social media and has a massive following. Her next song is a proper Bollywood number with some stunts involved in a circus set-up. The song features Disha and Salman and was shot over two days in Filmistaan studio, Mumbai. The actors rehearsed for a week,” adds the source.
Disha tells us, “I’ve seen a lot of Vaibhavi’s songs and have been a huge fan of hers. I used to always try and copy her choreography in front of the television as a kid. Now, to train under her has been so amazing. We recently shot for the song in Bharat, and I was so excited. I’ve enjoyed every moment on the sets.”
