Mithila not up for being called a youth icon
Actor Mithila Palkar, who stars with Irrfan and Dulquer Salmaan in the recently released Karwaan, is a popular name in the web space. She rose to fame with a popular web series; the makers of which are ready with its second season.
2018 has thus been a great year for her so far, also because Forbes selected her for their ‘30 under 30 list’. Naturally ecstatic, Mithila reveals, “It was totally unexpected. This guy called me up and said he wanted to interview me. I said ‘Okay’, and later, he sent me a message saying, ‘this I what I wanted to talk to you about’. It was a pleasant surprise!”
However, the 25year-old is “scared” about being called an icon. “It’s scary, but exciting. I am just starting out. I am not thinking about it that way — ‘Oh, I am a public figure, or a youth icon’. If my work inspires someone, I’m happy.
