People in small towns do have a life after work, says Shraddha Kapoor
Shraddha Kapoor, who visited the Madhya Pradesh town of Chanderi while shooting for her upcoming film Stree, says the vibe of the place was heartwarming, and that she feels that people in small towns don’t run after materialistic things.
The actor plays a ghost haunting the town of Chanderi in Stree, which also stars Rajkummar Rao. As part of the actors’ prep for the film, the cast and crew of the film, including director Amar Kaushik, visited the place.
On the experience, Shraddha says, “I was so excited to go there in Chanderi, especially the fort area where I shot the film. Chanderi is a small town and the vibe of the place is so easy. Living in Mumbai, we are always running after deadlines and our life revolves around work.”
“People there (in Chanderi) are really simple and not in hurry. They really have a life after work. Maybe people of small towns are not so wealthy, nor do they have the high materialistic desire, but I think they really know how to find happiness from small things that we urban people do not even notice,” she added.
The actor also went on a shopping spree in the place, which is known for its saris. “I do not wear a lot of saris, but I bought so many for my family, and some for myself. We all know how famous Chanderi saris are, and they are really beautiful,” she says.
