HARSHVARDHAN LIKES TO DO REAL AND ORIGINAL WORK
The actor says that he believes in ensuring things to be as close to reality as possible, and also talks about playing Abhinav Bindra
Actor Harshvardhan Kapoor, who has only worked in two films so far, believes in doing authentic work. All set to portray Olympic gold medallist Abhinav Bindra in a biopic, the actor says that it will be an “honest” depiction of the sportsman.
“I don’t compromise and I try to do things as close to real as possible. And the Bindra biopic will follow the same template, which is why it has taken us so long to get the film together because we have tried to be honest,” says Harshvardhan.
The actor, who was last seen in Vikramaditya Motwane’s Bhavesh Joshi Superhero, which released this year, says that both of his films till date are “real and original” pieces of work. “... There is no fluff. The Bindra biopic will follow the same template. That is why for me making movies is a more time-consuming process because I really believe in authenticity,” he adds.
Harshvardhan made his Bollywood debut with the 2016 film Mirzya, which like his last release, did not do well at the box-office. His performance, however, was appreciated by the critics. The actor is realistic when it comes to the mercurial nature of the trade, and says that he cannot predict how his films will fare at the ticket window. However, he says that “when you watch my movie, I can promise you one thing that it is going to be different from anything you have ever seen before”.
He adds, “It is the same with Bindra. It is going to be very authentic to who is he as a person and he is a very unique man and he has had a very unique journey so looking forward to another original film. One thing that I can promise you is it’s very true to who he is for sure.”
