IT JUST CAN’T BE ALL WORK AND NO HOLIDAYS FOR RISHINA

Too much work can make life boring; in fact, it can even affect the quality of the work itself. Who’d disagree with that? Busy as her days are, TV actor Rishina Kandhari believes in taking mini-breaks.

The actor recently went to Singapore for a week and shares that it was “amazing”. She tells us, “We all need a small break from our busy schedules. I visited all the tourist places in Singapore — didn’t leave out any spot. The ones I liked were Universal Studios, Singapore Zoo, Jurong Bird Park, and the Aquarium.” That zoo visit had been on her wishlist for a while now.

“I’ve been an animal and bird lover since childhood. I fed a giraffe, clicked pictures with the orangutans and other animals. But the best [part] was feeding the penguins at the bird park. I also gifted myself a tiny penguin soft toy, whom I’ve named Pengy K,” adds Rishina.

Her previous holidays have been in Dubai, Agra, Udaipur, and Mauritius, and she’s already thinking about her next destination. Such regular vacay breaks help her perform better on-screen, she feels.

“[Holidays are] important to keep the interest alive in work as well as in relationships. I always perform better after a break. Travelling and taking tiny breaks keeps me refreshed and helps me focus more on my work,” says Rishina.

“It’s not necessary to go abroad all the time; India itself is a beautiful country. I believe in working hard and saving money for my travels,” adds the actor, who has been on shows such as Na Aana Is Des Laado, Devon Ke Dev...Mahadev, and Tu Sooraj, Main Saanjh Piyaji.
