With a string of successful projects such as Raazi, Sanju and Lust Stories, actor Vicky Kaushal is clearly soaring high in the world of entertainment. While the actor asserts that there is no strategic planning behind picking up projects, there is a mantra that he swears by, most of the times.

“I don’t want to take decisions in a clinical way. I just want to follow my heart. For the last one and a half years, I have only been shooting, and it’s only this year that three of them (projects) got released, one after the other. It was just destiny that they all came [out] in the same year,” says Vicky, who will next be seen in Uri, Manmarziyaan and Takht.

With four releases this year, and three set to come out soon, one might feel that the actor is getting overexposed or exhausting himself, too much. To this, Vicky says, “This is just my third year [in Bollywood], and right now, it is just my time to explore as an actor, and I am just grateful that I am getting an opportunity to explore.” He goes on, “When you get opportunities to work with great filmmakers, you dive in because this way you will also get a chance to explore [many]things.”

Not just the box office but the actor is making an equally strong mark in the digital space with Love Per Square Foot and Lust Stories turning into hits.

Asked if it’s a conscious decision to showcase his work, on different platforms, especially on the web, he says, “To be honest, [no] it wasn’t a conscious decision to have back-to-back releases on the Internet. Love Per... was made for a theatrical release, but the makers took the call that it would be great to release it on a digital platform.” Citing a few positives of the digital platform, the actor adds, “On the web, your work is going to be there all the time... You don’t get desperate that people should see it within some time otherwise it will stop running at the theatre.”
